Is a bad May for this year, Cyclone in Myanmar and Earthquake in Sichuan. When I saw the pictures from the newspapers regarding the earthquake in Sichuan, is really sad. Thousands of lives are struggling to survive and their families are praying hard for the survivors. The first 72 hours is the most critical period, the rescuers will try all means to look out for survivors from the collapsed buildings. I believe is because of the bad maintenance of the buildings that lead to 80% of the buildings had collapsed. Thousands of people had lost their homes overnight, some of them did not dare to sleep in their own houses as they are afraid another collapse.
I believe that animals can sense tremors before they happen. Hundreds of thousands of toads appeared on the streets of Manzhu 2 days before the earthquake. My mum told me that before all these natural disasters happened, the animals can sense it first. Example, cockroaches and rats will rush out from the drains, the animals in the forest will suddenly be impatient by making alot of noises. By giving all these warnings, they actually hope that the humans will notice of their unusual behaviours and predict the upcoming. Unfortunately, no one had the presence of mind to understand.
