After 38 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy,
22 March 2011 is the date that our little product, Mirabelle has arrived to this Kiasu country.
The ward at Mount Alvernia that I am staying.
All babies are angels when they are sleeping.
The unglamorous mother and little Mirabelle.
Before I have lost my memory, I shall update my delivery story.
21 March 2011:
7pm: At my mum's place for dinner and we were discussing what if little M is same as me, born at 41 weeks? Then my maternity leave will be wasted.
11pm: Playing bakery story using my iphone.
22 March 2011:
12am: Fall asleep
1240am: Urge to go toilet to bian bian
On the way to the toilet, water bag burst. Wondering if I have lost control of my bladder but water kept gushing out. Then I saw show in the toilet bowl.
1245am: Wake Mr Lee up and inform him that I maybe delivering.
1250am: Shower and scrub my body, wash my hair and wash my face. Mr Lee was preparing his hospital bag.
0105am: Blow dry my hair, thinking what else to bring to the hospital.
0115am: Open all cupboards of the whole house.
0120am: Left the house. Then got a feeling again that something is flowing out from my body again.
0130am: Went to petrol station to buy chicken essence but end up cannot open the bottle.
0145am: Reach Mount Alvernia Hospital. I walked to the delivery ward while Mr Lee parked his car first. I inform the midwives that my water bag has burst.

0300am: Buay tahan the pain, asked for epidural.
0330am: Finally the anaesthetist has reached.
0335am to 0400am: Inserted the epidural tubes into my spine.
0415am onwards: Epidural effect started. No more pain but I am shivering. Can chat with Mr Lee and sleep.
0530am: Midwife checked on me again, 5-6cm dilated.
0800am: Gynae Dr Kee brought his umbrella along and checked on me. I am 8-9cm dilated.
0945am to 10am: 10am dilated. Midwives asking me to start pushing. Mr Lee is supporting my back. Thanks god he is around. Midwives asked Mr Lee what he is going to reward me for this delivery and Mr Lee replied a branded bag.
1010am: Dr Kee arrived and the midwives are asking him why he is not wearing PAP uniform. Because he is Bukit Gombak grassroot leader.
1019am: The arrival of Little M.
I cried when Dr Kee put little M on my chest.
She is 3010g and 52cm long.
I didn't expect that I can go through normal delivery. Although it is scary but I am proud that I have given birth naturally.
