Continue about our Taiwan trip again.
So on our 2nd day in Taipei, we drove to Yehliu to see some rocks. To Mr Lee, they are just a few pieces of lookalike mushroom rocks.
We drove less than 1 hour from our hotel to Yehliu Geopark. The admission ticket is NT80/person.
The cute 女王 statue. It reminds me of this Japanese brand of perfume.
The story of how all these rocks are formed naturally but they are all in Chinese.
See.... really look like mushroom right.
The place is so hot that we sweat like nobody's business. There are alot of China people too and all of them are carrying their umbrella. We have to avoid these umbrella from poking our head or eyes. Because the way they carried, as if they are in their own world. 目中无人.
This is the famous 女王 rock that many people are queueing up to take photo.
We did not queue up to take a photo and we manage to zoom in using our camera to take the above photo.
That's our actual location where we zoom in, see how far we are.
This is the fairy's shoe rock. According to the myth, they believe that long ago, the fairy has left her shoe here when she has landed in the mortal's world.
We were at the Geopark for less than an hour because it is so hot and we don't appreciate of looking rocks. We drove from Yehliu to Jiufen. We took around 1 hour so on the way there, I pump my milk. Haha!
Before we went to Jiufen for lunch, we dropped by this Gold Mine Museum. Last time, this whole place is mining area. So now they revamp this place and turn out to be a museum for tourists.
The mining tracks and the truck which they load all the coals and mines.
All these are made of gold.
This freaking gold is more than 1000kg.
After the tour of the gold museum, we went to this excursion of the undergroud tunnels where the people dig the gold and mining in the past.
We have to wear safety helmet in case anything drop onto our head inside the tunnel. Initally, Mr Lee doesn't want to enter because we have to wear helmet. He is scared to 弄乱他的头发.
Inside the tunnel, it is quite cooling and we can hear the sound of the water drips from the hills.
We were there for almost 2 hours. Finally, we are going to Jiufen for our lunch. I was feeling so hungry after this tour.
We went to see the famous Fu Zhou Fishball and 鲁肉饭. We never take pic of the food because we are so hungry that we eat immediately when the food has served on our table. Anyway, it is a must try to eat Fu Zhou Fishball in 九份.
This is the famous peanut ice-cream in TW, I think we paid arount NT20 for this ice-cream.
We walked the whole streets so we spent around 2 hours there. We also tried the yam balls although I am not a fan of such food.
After that, we drove to 十分 from 九份. It took us around 45 minutes.
十分 is famous to put 天灯.
One thing I like about 十分 is the choo-choo train that are so close to us.
Get set! GO!

Luckily, we came to Jiu Fen on a weekday. It is already so crowded and the traffic is chaotic because the roads are very narrow. It's 山路 so you cannot expect too much.

Different colours of 天灯 has different kind of meaning.
Even though we are on our holidays, we stll miss our 2 babies in SG.
Obviously, we don't know how to write in Chinese. And I think people also can guess we are from SG because of all these ang moh wordings.
After finishing writing our blessing on the 4 sides of the 天灯, we are ready to set it up to the sky.
Ready!
Get set! GO!
Huat ah!
This is what I meant by the train is so near to us. We are setting up the lanterns on the train track.
This is how we have spent our day trip in Yehliu, Jiufen and Shihfen.
After that, we went to Keelung Night Market for our dinner. Yes lah! Night Market again. :)
