Ok, let me continue on my Australia trip....
So after staying in Melbourne for 4 nights, we are moving on to Canberra.
Canberra is purely our stopover. This is because from Melbourne to Sydney, it gonna takes us around 10 hours drive (plus resting) So we will be stopping at Canberra which is between these 2 main cities. So from Melbourne to Canberra, it takes us around 7 hours drive.
So poor little M gonna sit in the car for bloody long.
After reaching Canberra, we check-in to our budget hotel and went to a Vietnamese restaurant for dinner.
After staying here for a night, we gonna start to drive to Sydney.
Beside Port Campbell's motel, this is the other budgeted hotel we are staying. Oh man! Do you know how budgeted it is? 5 of us are staying in a "so-called" family room and it only costs AUD 228 for a night. So it means, if we divide by 4 persons (exclude little M), each person is only more than AUD 50.
Wa piang! Keep kana scolding from Mr Lee. Thank god! This is the only 2 budgeted hotels that I have booked.
On our way to Sydney, I told Mr Lee that I wanna go to Cockington Green. It is one of the tourist attractions in Canberra. Since we are here, by as well go there and see right?
At the entrance of Cockington Green. The flowers are so pretty and colourful. The weather in Canberra is quite cooling, maybe that's why the flowers can grow so nice!
Ai yo! This little M's expression resembles her dad lah.
Taking little M's favourite transport "cho-cho train"
This whole place is displaying the minatures of the places of interests in the whole world. Sadly SG does not appear here.
The flowers are too pretty lah, so I kept asking Mr Lee to keep taking pictures of us.
Mr Lee is playing the toy train.
It is a nice small place and I believe kids will love it.
So after this place, we are supposed to go to Sydney. But Mr Lee said since we are here, we have to take a look at their Parliament house.
Before coming to Canberra, I have no freaking idea that this is where their Parliament house is. That means Julia Gillard's office is here! I didn't know their Parliament house is at Canberra. Because Canberra is a small city and it seems boring. :p
And little M was asleep, my in-laws are accompanying her in the car. So Mr Lee and I went to the Parliament House.
It reminds me of Washington..... How I miss that place.
The only Parliament Houses we have visited are in Washington and Canberra.
We are Singaporeans and yet we have never step into Istana. Maybe gonna psycho Mr Lee to go together one fine day.
Tadah! That's their prime minister, Julia Gillard.
*Cough* *Cough*. Can we Singaporeans make our own decisions too and is not the govt making the decision for us?
The place where the governors hold their conference.
At least try to sit on the chair in the Parliament House right?
So after this visit, we continue our drive to Sydney! It takes us around 4.5 hours (plus resting).
Poor Mr Lee is driving again.
